It is important that all historical re-enactors wear authentic clothing. The main time period re-enacted by On-Gwe-Ho-Way is 1812-1814.

The native men of the time wore:

  • Breechclout
  • Thigh-length Leggings
  • Cotton Shirt
  • Woodland Moccasins
  • Woven Sash

 

The native women of the time wore:

  • Woodland Moccasins
  • Leather Dress
  • Leather or Wool Wrap Skirt
  • Cotton Shirt
  • Woven Sash
  • Knee-high Leggings (if desired)
  • Braided Leather or Woven Leg Ties
